I’d invite the House and Senate leadership of both parties. Over a nice long overnight brisket smoking, we’d crack open some beverages of choice, and talk. Good food, good beer, and make them sit and talk like neighbors, civilized folk. No one allowed to talk work or politics, just recipes, family, funny stories, and tall tales. Then we’d feast like Kings upon my bacon and onion stuffed brisket, maybe with a bacon exlposion appetizer. Then I’d send everyone on their way, with the hopes that maybe they’ll get along a little better, and behave a bit better too in the future, and that would be better for everyone. Once you’ve bonded over hours of brisket and smoke, you get along just a little bit better.
